Well, in order to get in the best shape of your life (without the negative setbacks), it comes down to getting proper nutrition. Of course, other things such as exercise, sleep, and drinking more water are very vital… but proper nutrition is by far the MOST important. That being said, therein lies the secrets to getting in the best shape of your life! Here are 3 important things to know in regards to proper nutrition that will make you get in the best shape of your life before you know it!

1. Eat natural foods with plenty of nutrients and as unprocessed as possible…

There are 3 parts to what I just said above: Natural, plenty of nutrients, and as unprocessed as possible. It is important that the foods you eat incorporates all three. Natural and unprocessed foods are received by your body much better than processed foods. And foods packed with lots of healthy nutrients (such as protein, healthy fats, healthy carbs, antioxidants, etc.) will trigger fat loss, weight loss, and an improvement of your overall health.

2. Eat small and eat often…

Your digestive system plays a larger role in you losing weight than you might think. The more healthier your digestive system is, the more likely you are to drop those stubborn pounds. The reason why is because with a healthier digestive system, your metabolism will be increased, you’ll get rid of toxins in your body, your body will process nutrients more efficiently, and so much more! Now guess what will make your digestive system happier? That’s right… eating more often throughout the day with smaller meals!

*Please Note* – I am in no way shape or form saying that you should starve yourself. That’s a bad idea. What I am saying is that you should still eat the appropriate amount of calories you need for the day, but just break those calories down into 4-6 small meals instead of 2 or 3 gigantic meals. Your digestive system, your metabolism, and your scale will thank you!

3. Start your day right… end your day right…

As I mentioned above, a faster metabolism is for sure a key to success with losing weight and burning off fat. And one way to ensure you keep your metabolism on fire is by starting your day off right and ending your day right in regards to proper nutrition.

Starting your day right means eating a hearty and healthy breakfast. Your breakfast must be nutrient dense with the key nutrients that trigger fat loss and will keep you feeling full (such as fiber and protein). Ending your day right means eating a light dinner and not eating bad foods too close to bed. This way you’ll keep your metabolism running strong through the evening, and you won’t put too much pressure on your digestive system while you sleep.
